Our Approach
The delivery of evidence-based services specific to the needs and demands of an individual or organisation.
The treatment of musculoskeletal injury and chronic pain focuses on normalising the patients function and daily activity towards pre-injury status. In this instance, the emphasis is on developing positive behaviours and beliefs concerning physical activity, pain and injury and self-management and coping. Our treatment philosophy is a biopsychosocial approach involving exercise and movement, education, understanding and knowledge to assist patients to normalise their life. When indicated, treatment is undertaken collaboratively with other health professionals including a psychologist.
The underlying principle of workplace injury prevention training is the recognition of the primary risk factors specific to each organisation. The injury prevention training approach is practical and work-specific, with a goal of gradual change to worker behaviour through repeated short bouts of training.
